Installation Guide
Choose your edition below and follow the instructions carefully. The entire process takes just a few minutes.
Download & Install Minecraft Forge
Download Minecraft Forge for version 1.12.2 from the official Forge website. Run the downloaded installer file and select "Install Client" when prompted. Click OK and wait for the installation to complete. This will automatically create a new Forge profile in your Minecraft launcher that you will use to run mods.
Download Jenny Mod
Get the latest Jenny Mod .jar file from our download page. Make sure the mod version is compatible with your Minecraft and Forge version. Jenny Mod is designed for Minecraft 1.12.2, so ensure you are downloading the correct file.
Open Minecraft with Forge
Open the Minecraft Launcher and select the Forge profile from the profile dropdown menu. Click Play and let Minecraft fully load to the main menu. Once it loads, close the game completely. This initial launch creates the necessary mods folder in your Minecraft directory where you will place mod files.
Locate Your Mods Folder
Navigate to the mods folder on your operating system:
- Windows: Press
Win+R, type %appdata%\.minecraft\mods and press Enter - macOS: Open Finder, press
Cmd+Shift+Gand enter ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods - Linux: Open your file manager and navigate to ~/.minecraft/mods
Install the Mod
Copy the downloaded Jenny Mod .jar file from your Downloads folder. Paste it directly into the mods folder you opened in the previous step. Do not extract or unzip the file -- place the .jar file as-is into the folder.
Launch & Verify
Open the Minecraft Launcher again and select the Forge profile. Click Play and wait for the game to load. Once in the main menu, click the Mods button to confirm that Jenny Mod appears in the list. To start playing, create a new world in Creative mode and look for Jenny Mod spawn eggs in your inventory to summon characters.
Download the .mcpack File
Visit our download page and get the Jenny Mod .mcpack file for Bedrock Edition. Save the file to a location you can easily find on your device, such as the Downloads folder.
Import the Addon
Locate the downloaded .mcpack file in your file manager and tap or double-click it to open. Minecraft Bedrock Edition will automatically launch and begin importing the addon. Wait for the import notification confirming that the pack was successfully added to your game.
Activate in World Settings
In Minecraft, go to Settings > Edit World (or create a new world). Scroll down to find Behavior Packs and Resource Packs sections. Tap on each and activate Jenny Mod from the available packs list. If prompted to enable Experimental Features, make sure to toggle them on for the mod to work correctly.
Play
Load your world and start playing with Jenny Mod installed. You can find Jenny Mod items and spawn eggs in your Creative inventory. Explore your world and interact with the new characters and features that Jenny Mod brings to your Minecraft Bedrock experience.
Troubleshooting
Running into issues? Check these common problems and solutions to get Jenny Mod working properly.
Make sure you are launching Minecraft using the Forge profile, not the default vanilla profile. Also verify that the Jenny Mod .jar file is placed directly inside the mods folder -- not inside a subfolder. The file should not be extracted or unzipped. Restart Minecraft completely after placing the mod file.
This is usually a version compatibility issue. Jenny Mod requires Minecraft 1.12.2 for Java Edition. Make sure both your Forge installation and Minecraft version are set to 1.12.2. Also remove any other mods from the mods folder temporarily to rule out conflicts. Allocating more RAM to Minecraft in the launcher settings can also help prevent crashes.
Jenny Mod characters are summoned using spawn eggs found in your Creative inventory. Switch to Creative mode and search for Jenny-related items. You can also use the /give command to obtain spawn eggs directly. Make sure you are in a world where the mod is properly loaded by checking the Mods menu first.
Ensure the downloaded file has the .mcpack extension. If your device does not automatically open it with Minecraft, try renaming the file to ensure the extension is correct. On Android, you may need to set Minecraft as the default app for .mcpack files. On iOS, use the "Open with" option and select Minecraft from the app list.
For Bedrock Edition, make sure both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack are activated in your world settings. Missing textures usually indicate that only one of the two packs was enabled. Go to your world settings, check both sections, and ensure Jenny Mod is listed as active in each. Restart the world after making changes.
